Guided and grounded by the belief that our world is capable of “being” greater in its purpose, scope and compassion, dedicatedspot.org was hatched inside the confines of a multi-faceted work space in an industrial park in Fort Collins, Colorado. Simple in its concept – we are better when we intention and dedicate our spaces – we borrow from many traditions, mythologies and practices in the creation of asana platforms, meditation decks, altars, blocks, fountains, shoji panels, furniture and imagery to aid the search for tranquility in tumultuous times. Our products are hand made, utilize reclaimed materials or materials are from sustainable, certified sources. With devotion and care, we assemble them as artisans of old while drawing upon the latest incarnations and our own unique re-interpretations of architecture, land architecture and design. We call this the spatial engineering of the safe journey. And while it is often implored to breathe we’d rather - “ride the breath”
Our yoga/meditation line includes an asana platform dimensioned to fit a standard yoga mat, or one can practice directly upon its surface. Our meditation deck derives its design from Ming dynasty examples and our altars reach both up and down, seemingly floating the objects placed upon them. Our wood is hand selected and dimensioned. All surfaces are hand planed and finished with care. Our fountains are delicately beautiful and inspired by "preparing for childs pose." We utilize local aggregates, non-recyclable tempered glass and all fountains contain phosphorescent stone such that they illuminate and glow as twinkling stars at night.
